Boundaries

Separated from the Archdiocese of Brisbane in 1929 and comprising all that part of South-West Queensland which lies south of the 25th parallel of latitude and west of the Great Dividing Range, Main and Auburn Ranges, with the addition of the parishes of Crows Nest and Helidon, transferred from Brisbane in 1942. Area: 488,000 sq km.
